Ukrainian Lunch to be held within Munich Security Conference on Feb.15
On February 15, 2020, Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Yalta European Strategy (YES) will host the 4th Ukrainian Lunch in Munich, titled “Ukraine – Moving Ahead” and organized on the margins of the Munich Security Conference.
“With a new Ukrainian leadership elected in 2019, reforms and economic transformation move forward, while a solution seems still elusive with regards to the conflict in the East, despite the first steps made. What are the main internal and external factors that will shape Ukraine’s policy in the years to come? And how will they impact on Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic perspective as well as on European security as a whole? World and Ukrainian leaders will address those questions and share their outlook on what lies ahead,” reads the statement on the Victor Pinchuk Foundation website.
Richard Haass, President, Council on Foreign Relations, will moderate the discussion. Among the speakers will be Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia; Mircea Geoană, Deputy Secretary General of NATO; Peter Hultqvist, Minister for Defence of Sweden; Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania; Kurt Volker, Former Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations of the United States of America, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the NATO; Stanislav Asieiev, Author of Radio Liberty and others.
As noted, selected leaders from politics, business, experts and media from Ukraine and the world will attend the event.
