Czaputowicz: Poland concerned about human rights situation in Crimea

Poland is concerned about the human rights situation in Crimea and Russia's repressive policies pursued on the peninsula.

"Poland is deeply concerned about the human rights situation in Crimea and the repressive policies of the Russian occupation administration," Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz said during the discussion with the foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine on the situation in Crimea at the conference on disarmament within the framework of the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports.

At the same time, he called a success the release of political prisoners held in Russia.

"This success of the international community should encourage us to further raise awareness of violations of international law and human rights by the occupying power in Crimea," the Polish diplomat emphasized.
