Kuleba in OSCE: Ukraine continues to observe ceasefire despite provocations

During an official visit of the President of Ukraine to the Republic of Austria, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba addressed the permanent representatives of EU participating States of the OSCE, noting that, despite the provocations, Ukraine continues to adhere to the ceasefire.

According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the minister stressed that the OSCE SMM should have full and unhindered access to any area in the conflict zone, including the temporarily uncontrolled section of the Russian-Ukrainian state border.

“Of course, in the conflict settlement process, the OSCE should be impartial to the parties to the conflict - Russia and Ukraine. At the same time, a proactive OSCE, which comprehensively contributes to the establishment of peace and the de-occupation of our territories, meets the interests of all," Kuleba said.

He reported on Russia’s violation of the ceasefire on September 6, which resulted in the death of one Ukrainian soldier and the injury of another one.

Kuleba noted that, despite the provocations, Ukraine insists on the importance of further adherence to a sustainable and comprehensive ceasefire regime.

As Ukrinform reported, a full and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas was established on July 27, 2020.  At the same time, on September 6, the armed formations of the Russian Federation opened aimed fire from small arms at Ukrainian positions near Prychepylivka in Luhansk region. As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian serviceman was killed.
