Zelensky appoints ambassador to Turkmenistan, representative to IMO

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Viktor Maiko as Ukraine's ambassador to Turkmenistan.

The corresponding decree, No.610/2020 dated December 30, has been published on the website of the head of state.

"To appoint Viktor Maiko as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkmenistan," the document says.

In addition, by decree No.611/2020, the President appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom Vadym Prystaiko as Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) concurrently.

As reported, Viktor Maiko served as Ukraine's ambassador to Turkmenistan in 2005-2010, and concurrently - the ambassador to Afghanistan in 2006-2010.
