Razumkov says he had no conflicts with Servant of the People faction
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov has said that he had no conflict situations with the Servant of the People faction.
He said this at a briefing on Thursday, September 30, after a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He said that early on September 30, he received a letter from the Servant of the People faction regarding the collection of signatures of MPs with the proposal to dismiss the Verkhovna Rada chairman.
"Unlike many of my colleagues, I keep my word. As far as I know, signature sheets have already been produced, and my colleagues will be able to receive them today," Razumkov said.
He also said that as far as he knows, the Servant of the People faction did not hold a meeting.
"The second question is whether there was a meeting of the faction or not. As far as I know, it was not held. As for some conflicts, I really don't have such conflicts. If they want to create them, this is another question. [...] I did not have any conflict situations with the faction, especially because I was not invited to the faction meeting," Razumkov said.
He said that he had no ideological contradictions with members of the Servant of the People faction.
"I have my own principles. I have my own position. It is no different from that of the Servant of the People faction and the party, when we were running for elections in 2019. That is why I say that I have no ideological contradictions. Am I sure that the others have the same principles? This is still an open question. Let's see. I will defend my position publicly and, if necessary, I will attend a faction meeting if I get an invitation. I think I will be able to answer all questions from all of my colleagues," Razumkov said.
Razumkov said on September 30 that the leader of the Servant of the People faction, David Arahamia, had initiated a collection of signatures for his dismissal from the post of parliament speaker. According to Razumkov, MPs will receive signature sheets today to remove him from office.
