Kuleba, Maas discuss development of Ukraine–Germany relations
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had a telephone conversation with Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany Heiko Maas.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs, the chief diplomats discussed the further development of Ukraine–Germany relations.
Kuleba expressed confidence that Germany would remain a reliable partner of Ukraine in matters of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of our country and the development of economic cooperation.
He thanked Maas for his efforts to organize a Normandy format ministerial meeting.
Kuleba thanked his German counterpart for his remarks on the 80th anniversary of the mass shootings in Babyn Yar and his call for preserving the memory of this terrible Nazi crime.
Kulba also congratulated Maas on successful elections.
As reported, the Social Democratic Party of Germany won the elections to the Bundestag, which took place on September 26.
Incumbent Chancellor Angela Merkel did not participate in the election. She will step down after a coalition is formed and a new chancellor is appointed.
