About 190 signatures gathered to vote out Razumkov – Korniyenko
MPs from the Servant of the People faction have gathered about 190 signatures to vote out Dmytro Razumkov from the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker.
"There were 175 signatures on the signature sheet. As it is issued for 175 signatures, we did not put more. There is a separate appendix, it is not formal, it will not be considered now by the Apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada, but there are still about 15 signatures more, so I saw about 190 signatures in total," Oleksandr Korniyenko, Chairperson of the Servant of the People party, First Deputy Chairperson of the parliamentary faction, said during a briefing at the Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As reported, on October 2, members of the Servant of the People faction gathered the necessary 150 signatures to initiate the removal of Dmytro Razumkov from the post of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada. The process took place within the framework of a two-day offsite meeting of the Servant of the People faction in Truskavets. According to Yuliya Paliychuk, Spokesperson for the Servant of the People faction, MPs from the faction decided at the offsite meeting to start the procedure of voting out Razumkov from the post of the Verkhovna Rada Speaker on Monday, October 4.
The main candidate for the post is First Deputy Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk.
Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmytro Razumkov stated that the Servant of the People parliamentary faction had refused to meet with him to discuss the issue.
