Nausėda: December EaP Summit should advance EU membership of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova

This year's Eastern Partnership Summit should be used to advance the prospects of full-fledged EU membership for Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda said this during a joint press conference with President of Poland Andrzej Duda in Vilnius on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the long-term goal is the security of the Eastern Partnership, so it is necessary to consistently support the EaP countries – Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

“We must ensure that the associate members gradually integrate into the EU's internal market and strive for full-fledged membership in the European Union. The December Eastern Partnership Summit should be used for this purpose,” Nausėda stressed.

The Eastern Partnership Summit will be held in Brussels on December 15.
