Zelensky remains leader in presidential rating

poll

If the presidential election in Ukraine took place in the near future, the incumbent president, Volodymyr Zelensky, would get the most votes in the first round as 17% of all respondents, or 26% of those who will take part in the election and have already decided on their choice, are ready to vote for him, according to a survey conducted by the Razumkov Center.

Some 9% and 14% of those polled, respectively, intend to vote for the ex-president, European Solidarity party leader Petro Poroshenko, 7% and 12% for Yuriy Boiko, co-chair of the Opposition Platform – For Life party, 7% and 10% for Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, and 6% and 9% for the former Verkhovna Rada chairman, Dmytro Razumkov.

Some 4% and 6% would vote for MP Yevhen Muraiev, 3% and 5% for Power and Honor party leader Ihor Smeshko, 2% and 3.5% for former Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, 2% and 3% for Civic Position party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko, 2% and 2% for Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko, 1.5% and 2% for Serhiy Prytula, 1% and 2% for Ruslan Koshulynsky, and 1% and 1% for Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

At the same time, according to sociologists, compared to late July and early August 2021, Zelensky's electoral support decreased from 19.5% to 17% among all respondents. Compared to January 2021, the level of electoral support for Boiko decreased from 13% to 7% among all respondents, which may be partly due to the appearance of Muraiev in the list of candidates offered to the respondents.

Also, compared to January 2021, the level of electoral support for Poroshenko decreased from 12% to 9% among all respondents.

At the same time, compared to late July and early August, the level of electoral support for Razumkov increased from 2% to 6% among all respondents.

The level of electoral support for other candidates has not changed at a statistically significant level since the beginning of this year.

The survey was conducted from October 14 to October 20 via face-to-face interviews at the place of residence of respondents. Some 2,018 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, except for Crimea and the occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The poll's margin of error (excluding the design effect) does not exceed 2.3% with a probability of 0.95.
