Zelensky enacts NSDC decision on application of sanctions against Yemen
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has put into effect the National Security and Defense Council's decision on the application of personal special economic sanctions in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions on Yemen.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in decree No. 555/2021, published on the president's website.
"In accordance with Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decree to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of October 15, 2021 'On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions on the Republic of Yemen," the document reads.
The NSDC secretary has been tasked with exercising control over the implementation of the NSDC decision, enacted by decree No. 555/2021.
The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.
