Zelensky, Angola’s president agree to enhance cooperation between countries

On the sidelines of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Angola João Lourenço agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

President Zelensky wrote about this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.

“Met with the President of Angola. This was the first contact between the presidents since the establishment of Ukraine-Angola diplomatic relations in 1994,” reads the report.

Zelensky added that they had agreed to enhance cooperation between the two countries and fill it with practical content, in particular, in the economy.

As Ukrinform reported, the UN climate summit began in Glasgow on October 31 and will last until November 12.

On November 1, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the summit. He also met with a number of foreign leaders and heads of European political and financial institutions on the sidelines of the COP 26 UN Climate Change Conference.
