Ukraine signs declaration with Slovakia on recognition of European perspective

Ukraine and Slovakia have signed a declaration recognizing the European perspective of the Ukrainian state, President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced on Twitter.

"Slovakia became another EU state with which the Declaration on the Recognition of the European Perspective of Ukraine was signed," he wrote.

Zelensky also said that he had discussed with Slovakia's President Zuzana Caputova support for Ukraine's membership in NATO and the EU, cooperation in the energy sphere and the security situation in Donbas.

Zelensky is on a visit to Glasgow, the UK, where he attends the COP 26 climate summit.

In October, Zelensky announced the signing of bilateral declarations on Ukraine's European perspective with three other EU member states.
