Kuleba: Ukraine, France, Germany to insist on Normandy format meeting with Lavrov
Ukraine, France, and Germany have agreed to continue to insist on holding a Normandy format ministerial meeting with the participation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
"We will not allow Russia to enjoy the luxury of destroying the Normandy format, using others. We have agreed that we will continue to insist on holding a full-fledged ministerial meeting with the participation of minister Lavrov and we will also work towards organizing a summit of the Normandy format leaders," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on the air of ICTV channel on November 15, Ukrinform reports.
According to Kuleba, it is necessary to "force Russia to sit down at the table and negotiate, not to rattle the saber."
The chief Ukrainian diplomat added that his conversation with colleagues from France and Germany was devoted exclusively to the security of Ukraine and the prospects of the Normandy format. The minister noted that he was satisfied with what he heard from the partners.
As reported, Kuleba held talks with the foreign ministers of France and Germany during a working visit to Brussels on November 15.
