FM Kuleba: Ukraine's partners ready to deter Russian aggression by concrete actions

The key partners support Ukraine and are ready to deter Russia from further aggressive actions not only in words but also in concrete actions.

"Over the past week, I have visited Washington and Brussels, where we have mobilized international support for Ukraine on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelensky," Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on the air of 1+1 TV channel on Wednesday morning, November 17.

The minister stressed that Ukraine managed to gain the support of partners.

"Statements are important, they should not be underestimated. But the recipe for success is statements, sanctions, and military support for Ukraine. Unlike the spring, when the partners limited themselves to words of support, they are now working out concrete actions to stick up for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. They will take these steps to deter Russia from further aggressive actions," the minister assured.

He urged to take threats seriously, but not to panic.

Kuleba noted that the joint statement by the French and German foreign ministers after a trilateral meeting in Brussels was "unprecedentedly clear and tough on Russia." The French and German partners made it clear to Russia that new aggressive actions would have consequences.

The minister noted that Ukraine was working with partners to strengthen the border with Belarus, namely ensuring fortification and physical presence, exchange of intelligence data, enhanced border intelligence in order to provide the highest possible protection of Ukraine’s northern border.
