In 2022, Ukraine, NATO may approve individual partnership program - Stefanishyna
Before the next NATO summit on June 29-30 in Madrid, Ukraine plans to approve an individual partnership program with the Alliance and update partnership goals.
That’s according to Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, who spoke at a briefing on main achievements throughout 2021, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Obviously, we have several important priorities for next year’s cooperation with NATO. In particular, we are preparing for the next NATO summit, which will take place in Madrid next June," she said.
Stefanishyna said that before the summit, Ukraine plans to approve together with NATO an individual partnership program together with NATO, which will identify five areas of cooperation, based on the formation of an annual national program, respectively the formation of membership action plans.
"Also, before the summit, we plan to renew the goals of our partnership with NATO, which will be expanded in the light of the experience we have already gained in the framework of the enhanced opportunity partnership," the Deputy Prime Minister added.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the next NATO summit, which will be dedicated to the implementation of the NATO 2030 Concept and adaptation to modern challenges, will take place in Madrid on June 29-30, 2022.
