U.S. congressional delegation on visit to Ukraine
A U.S. congressional delegation is visiting Kyiv on Monday, January 17, to reaffirm the United States' bipartisan support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity amid Russian aggression and to express support for democratic reforms in the country, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv's press service has told Ukrinform.
According to the report, the delegation includes Republican Senators Rob Portman, Kevin Cramer, Roger Wicker and Democratic Senators Chris Murphy, Jeanne Shaheen, Amy Klobuchar and Richard Blumenthal.
The senators plan to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky and Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.
They will also meet with Energy Minister German Galushchenko and other representatives of the energy sector to discuss Ukraine's energy security.
After the meeting with Zelensky, the senators will hold a briefing for journalists.
