Ukraine expects productive cooperation with European Parliament under Metsola - Shmyhal
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has congratulated Roberta Metsola on her election as President of the European Parliament and expressed hope for further productive cooperation between Ukraine and this institution.
According to Ukrinform, the head of government said this in a post on Twitter.
"My congratulations to Roberto Metsola on her election as President of the European Parliament. We believe that cooperation between Ukraine and the European Parliament will be further developing and be equally fruitful," Shmyhal said.
He wished Metsola success in her work for the benefit of the whole of Europe.
Former European Parliament President David Sassoli died in hospital on January 11.
