EU Commissioner Varhelyi to visit Kyiv next week
EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi will visit Ukraine on January 26-27 this year to express the EU's solidarity with Ukraine and present a package of economic assistance to the country.
That's according to the European Commission's agenda for next week, which has been published on the website of the European institution, Ukrinform reports.
Poland's Permanent Representative to the EU Andrzej Sados confirmed the report at a meeting with journalists on January 20. He said that Varhelyi would visit Kyiv next Wednesday to meet with Ukrainian government representatives. The Commissioner is expected to present a package of economic assistance to increase Ukraine's resilience.
