Biden, Scholz to discuss Ukraine on Feb 7 - White House
U.S. President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will hold a meeting on February 7 to discuss the situation around Ukraine and joint steps to deter Russian aggression.
That's according to a statement made by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on January 27, Ukrinform reports.
"Chancellor Scholz' visit provides an opportunity to affirm the deep and enduring ties between the United States and Germany. The leaders will discuss their shared commitment to both ongoing diplomacy and joint efforts to deter further Russian aggression against Ukraine," Psaki said.
In addition, Biden and Scholz will also discuss the importance of continued close cooperation on a range of common challenges, including ending the COVID-19 pandemic, addressing the threat of climate change, and promoting economic prosperity and international security based on the two countries' shared democratic values.
