Polish PM arrives in Kyiv
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has arrived in Kyiv, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
At the beginning of his trip, Morawiecki visited Baikove Cemetery.
According to the office of the Polish prime minister, he laid flowers at the grave of Polish legionnaires from 1920.
Earlier reports said that during his visit to Ukraine, Morawiecki will hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Before leaving for Kyiv, Morawiecki told a briefing in Warsaw that Poland would provide Ukraine with not only verbal support, but also military and humanitarian assistance in light of the threat of further Russian aggression.
He clarified that Warsaw plans to hand over ammunition, Grom MANPADS and various types of drones to Kyiv. In addition, Poland will provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including basic necessities.
A new Ukrainian-Polish-British cooperation format is to be announced during a visit to Kyiv by Morawiecki and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday, February 1.
