Scholz to visit Kyiv before meeting with Putin
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will visit Kyiv on February 14 before traveling to Moscow on February 15.
That's according to the German Chancellery, Ukrinform reports.
The details of both visits have not yet been disclosed.
These will be Scholz's first trips to both countries as head of the German government. He himself recently announced his trip to Moscow, but did not mention any plans to visit Kyiv before that. According to the Chancellor, the task is to use all opportunities and all formats to prevent the violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, Russia's armed invasion.
Earlier this year, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock first visited the Ukrainian capital and then traveled to Russia.
