Macron arrives in Ukraine – French ambassador

French President Emmanuel Macron and French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian have arrived in Ukraine.

French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins announced this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"I am honored to welcome to Kyiv President Emmanuel Macron, who arrived to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky, and Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, who will meet with Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Ahead is a very busy day. Welcome to Ukraine!" the ambassador said.

On February 7 in Moscow, Macron held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At a joint press conference with Putin, Macron said the coming days will be crucial for stabilizing the situation and achieving de-escalation.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with President Macron today.
