The White House has officially confirmed the planned meeting between U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

"She [Kamala Harris] will meet with President Zelensky of Ukraine," a White House official said during a press call on February 16.

In addition, the meeting will further coordinate the diplomatic efforts that have been underway to provide economic and defensive security assistance to Ukraine.

Kamala Harris is also to meet with NATO Secretary General, leaders of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and German Chancellor.

The Munich Security Conference will be held at Hotel Bayerischer Hof in central Munich on February 18-20. About 35 heads of state and government and about 100 ministers are expected to join.
