Zelensky, Macron discuss security situation around Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron have discussed the security situation around Ukraine and supported the urgent convening of a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group.
The Ukrainian leader said this in a post on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Continuing yesterday's conversation, I informed Emmanuel Macron about the current security situation and new provocative shelling. We stand for intensifying the peace process. We support the immediate convening of the TCG and the immediate introduction of a regime of silence," Zelensky said.
Zelensky and Macron last spoke late on February 19 to discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine.
