Zelensky informs PMs of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia about war waged by Russia
At a meeting in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, and Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša about Russian aggression and the overall security situation in the country.
"As for weapons. This situation, which we have now, is dangerous. In general, it is dangerous in the country. We bow low to you [for making a visit]. Today, for example, several residential districts in Kyiv were shelled. They fire on all territories, on western Ukraine, on Lviv region," Zelensky said, Ukrinform reports.
He told foreign officials that the Russians probably thought people would meet them gladly. "It seemed to them that a certain percent of the population would support them," the Head of State said.
Zelensky also informed that there were representatives of other countries among the Russian troops in Ukraine. "They speak a language we do not understand. That is, they are taken either from Syria or from somewhere else," he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal informed that Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, and Prime Minister of Slovenia Janez Janša discussed further support for our state with Ukraine’s leadership in Kyiv.
As reported, the prime ministers of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia arrived in Ukraine on March 15. This is the first visit of international guests of such a level to Kyiv since the beginning of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.
On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russians destroy cities, kill civilians, shell and ruin key infrastructure and residential buildings in Ukraine.
