MFA: Turkey could become one of guarantors of Ukraine's security

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, who is currently on a visit to Ukraine.

"In focus: the heroic defense of Ukraine against Russia's full-scale aggression; numerous war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Russian army in Ukraine and the inevitable responsibility for them; Turkey's solidarity with Ukraine, practical political and humanitarian support, as well as readiness to consider the possibility of becoming one of the guarantors of Ukraine's security in the future," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

In addition, Turkey’s foreign minister informed Kuleba about his visit to Moscow on March 16. He stressed Ankara's readiness to continue mediation efforts to end Russia's war against Ukraine.

As reported, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu arrived in Ukraine on Thursday to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on ending Russian aggression.

During yesterday’s visit to Moscow, Çavuşoğlu pointed out his country's mediating role as a facilitator between Ukraine and Russia, assuring that the country's position is based on the legal framework and impartiality.
