Zelensky compares actions by Russian leadership towards Ukraine with those of Nazi

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has compared the actions by the Russian leadership towards Ukraine with those of the Nazi against the Jewish people.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his video address to the Knesset, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Please, listen to what the Kremlin is saying. Just listen. There are words that were used then [during World War II – Ed.]. This is a tragedy. When the Nazi party went to Europe and wanted to destroy everything, destroy everyone, enslave the people and leave nothing of us, nothing of you. They called it the Final Solution of the Jewish Question. You remember this, and I am sure you will never forget this. But, listen what they are saying in Moscow now. Listen to them saying these words again – the final solution, but now it is directed against us, the Ukrainian question. This has been said openly. It is a tragedy. This has sounded at a meeting in Moscow. This can be found on information websites. This has been cited by the Russian national media. Moscow is saying they would not have been able to ensure the final solution to their security without starting a war against us. Just like it was said 80 years ago,” Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine called on the Israeli to think of the date, February 24. This day has been recorded in the history as a tragedy twice. On February 24, 1920, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party was established, taking millions of lives, destroying the whole countries and attempting to kill the nations. 102 years later, on February 24, 2022, a criminal order was given to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops.

According to Zelensky, the Russian invasion has already taken thousands of lives and forced millions of Ukrainians to flee abroad, seeking safety and peace, which is similar to what Jews had to endure during World War II.

Zelensky stressed that this invasion is not a military operation as the Kremlin says but a massive and vile war.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on residential areas in Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
