Kuleba warns paying for oil, gas in rubles means helping Russia kill Ukrainians

Agreeing to Putin's humiliating condition to the EU to pay for oil and gas in rubles will help the Russians kill Ukrainians.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated on Twitter by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

"If any EU country bows to Putin’s humiliating demands to pay for oil and gas in rubles, it will be like helping Ukraine with one hand and helping Russians kill Ukrainians with the other. I urge relevant countries to make a wise and responsible choice," Kuleba wrote.

As reported, Russian President Vladimir Putin said "unfriendly countries" must from now on pay for all Russian gas supplied in rubles. Putin's order means that buyers of Russian gas in Europe will have to buy rubles on the Russian market to pay for energy supplies.

On March 7, Russia added 50 countries to the list of "unfriendly" countries, including the European Union, Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Japan, Switzerland and others. The list includes countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine.
