Defense chief explains what Ukraine needs to win, beyond Russia sanctions

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, speaking from Hostomel, destroyed by Russian invaders, addressed Ukraine’s partner countries, calling on them to provide the country with long-range heavy weapons.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense on Facebook, Ukrinform saw.

"Give us the tools and we'll get things done. It’s not only sanctions that we need, but also weapons. If this issue gets postponed, the same situation will happen in Europe," the minister said.

During a joint briefing with President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the European Union would add 500 million euros to 1 billion euros worth of weapons for Ukraine.
