Zelensky, Johnson walk down Kyiv streets
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson walked down Kyiv streets and honored the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.
The relevant video was posted by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
After negotiations, the leaders of the two countries, accompanied by security guards, walked through Bankova Street to Khreshchatyk Street. They went to Maidan Nezalezhnosti [Independence Square] and Heavenly Hundred Heroes Alley to honor the memory of the fallen.
During their walk, a woman came up and gifted them ceramic roosters.
According to the Office of the President, a similar ceramic rooster, made by sculptor Prokip Bidasiuk, was standing in the kitchen cupboard, which survived in an apartment block destroyed by Russian troops in Borodianka, Kyiv Region. The photo of this cupboard and the ceramic rooster became popular on the Internet as a symbol of the tenacity of the Ukrainian people.
