Psaki: Putin has become a pariah in the world, no place for Russia at G20 summit
Due to the aggression of Russian troops in Ukraine, Russia and its President Vladimir Putin have become pariahs in the world.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said this at a briefing in Washington, according to Ukrinform.
"I would say that Russia and President Putin have shown himself and themselves to be a pariah in the world. And the President's view is that he has no place at international forum," she said, asked about Russia's participation in the G20 summit.
According to Psaki, Russia's actions and President Putin's actions make them a country and a leader that US President Joe Biden does not feel should participate in international fora.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying infrastructure and residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
The US, EU and other countries imposed sanctions against the aggressor country.
On March 16, the UN's International Court of Justice ordered Russia to immediately end its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.
