The team of President Volodymyr Zelensky works towards accelerating the fulfillment of Ukraine’s commitments on the path towards Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

"We expect to receive the EU candidate country status following the European Council meeting in June. Next, accession negotiations are to begin, which should be held in a fast-track procedure.

Now the whole team of the President, the [President’s] Office, and the Government is working to do everything in our power as soon as possible," Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

He noted that the first part of the questionnaire to assess Ukraine's ability to acquire the status of a candidate country for EU accession had already been completed and submitted to the European Commission. Everything was done in a week, as President Zelensky promised European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during her visit to Kyiv.
