Zelensky thanks United States for leadership in supporting Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked U.S. President Joe Biden for his leadership in supporting Ukraine.
Zelensky wrote this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
“Two months of heroic nationwide resistance of Ukraine to the Russian aggression have passed. I’m grateful to U.S. President Joe Biden and the people of the United States for leadership in supporting Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.
He also added that today “the Ukrainian people are united and strong, and Ukraine-U.S. friendship and partnership are stronger than ever!”
As Ukrinform reported, U.S. President Joe Biden stated on April 24 that the United States will continue to assist Ukraine in its fight against Putin's aggression.
On April 21, Biden announced the launch of a new program, Unite for Ukraine, which will expedite the U.S. immigration process for Ukrainian refugees fleeing Russia’s invasion.
According to the United Nations, more than 5 million people have left Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale war.
