Only full embargo on oil imports from Russia could stop Russian war crimes in Ukraine

To stop Russian war crimes, a real embargo on oil exports must be imposed, to strip Vladimir Putin of oil revenues.

That’s according to Ukraine’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, Ukrinform reports citing his tweets.

“If world leaders and businesses are serious about ending Russian war crimes, they must first deprive Putin of oil revenues. Enough excuses and half-measures while Ukrainians are being bombed, killed, tortured, and raped. Russian oil is full of Ukrainian blood. Stop buying it! EU needs a real embargo on Russian oil,” Kuleba tweeted.

The top diplomat noted that Russia is now desperately trying to bypass the restrictions already imposed.

“Let’s be clear: any blend containing any Russian oil should be treated as 100% Russian oil. Don’t let Russians cheat their way around restrictions,” the chief of Ukrainian diplomacy stressed.
