Ukraine’s Parliament asks United States to recognize Russia as state sponsor of terrorism
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed the appeal to the House of Representatives and the Senate of the US Congress to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
"The Verkhovna Rada supported the Appeal No. 7341 to the House of Representatives and the Senate of the US Congress to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism," MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak posted on Telegram.
The appeal was supported by 344 MPs.
As reported, MPs registered a draft resolution No.7341 on the appeal of the Parliament of Ukraine to the House of Representatives and the Senate of the US Congress to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the recognition of the Russian Federation as a state sponsor of terrorism would strengthen international sanctions against it and consolidate the world in support of Ukraine.
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada, in particular, calls on the US Congress to impose sanctions on government and business circles, Russian political parties that support the war.
