President says visa travel with Russia realistic option
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine believes that he now has sufficient opportunities to introduce a visa travel regime with Russia.
The Ukrainian leader said this in an interview with journalists on Monday, June 6, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I think it's a good idea to introduce a visa regime with the Russian Federation. Probably, today I have sufficient opportunities to bring this to a result Ukrainians will deem positive," Zelensky said.
As reported, on February 24, the Russian Federation launched a new phase of its war against Ukraine – a full-scale invasion. Russian invaders have been shelling and bombing peaceful towns and villages in Ukraine, torturing and killing civilians. Ukraine's defense forces have been fiercely resisting Russian occupiers.
