Court bans Opposition Platform – For Life party
The Eighth Court of Appeal of Lviv has banned the activities of the Opposition Platform – For Life political party.
"On June 20, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal upheld a lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice and banned the Opposition Platform – For Life political party," the Chesno movement reports.
It is noted that the consideration of the case of the Opposition Platform – For Life party lasted a total of 5-6 hours, the longest of all other cases banning parties.
"The first part of the hearing started last Thursday, but then they did not have time to consider the case and make a decision so announced a break until Monday. It is also the first political party that participates in the trial. According to the representative of the Ministry of Justice, a representative of the Opposition Platform – For Life participated in the hearing via video link," the statement reads.
According to the court judgment, the property of the political force is transferred to the state. The judgment can be challenged within 20 days in the Supreme Court.
Thus, the Opposition Platform – For Life has become the 11th party whose activity is banned in court.
