Zelensky, PM of Slovakia coordinate positions ahead of European Council session
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger coordinated their positions on the eve of the European Council session.
“Coordinated positions with Eduard Heger on the eve of this week's session of the European Council,” Zelensky posted on Twitter.
The President noted that he appreciated Slovakia's significant support on Ukraine's path to the European Union.
“We are looking forward to the historic European Council decision,” Zelensky stressed.
As reported, on June 17, the European Commission published its conclusions on the applications for accession to the EU filed by Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia and recommended granting Ukraine and Moldova candidate status. The European Council is due to consider the issue at its session on June 23-24.
