Zelensky appoints ambassadors to Tajikistan, New Zealand

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has appointed the country’s ambassadors to the Republic of Tajikistan and New Zealand.

Relevant decrees have been published on the official website of the President of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

By Decree 444/2022, Valeriy Yevdokimov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Tajikistan.

Yevdokimov has the military rank of Major General. From September 20, 2019, to June 5, 2020, he headed the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, the SZRU.

At the same time, by Decree 445/2022, Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Australia, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to New Zealand (part-time).

Myroshnychenko has been Ukraine’s envoy to Australia since March 9, 2022. On March 7, he also became an adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
