Kuleba, Borrell agree on positions ahead of G20 summit
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell have discussed further steps after Ukraine received EU candidate status and agreed on positions ahead of a G20 summit.
Kuleba said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"In our call today, Josep Borrell and I discussed further steps after Ukraine became an EU candidate country and coordinated positions ahead of the G20 Foreign Ministers meeting. We both agree on the need for the seventh EU sanctions package on Russia and we are working on it," Kuleba said.
On June 23, the heads of state and government of the EU member states decided to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country for EU membership.
