Zelensky meets with defense minister of Poland
In the future, Ukraine–Poland relations will develop, and the countries will become even closer.
"The Ministry of Defense of Poland supports the Ukrainian army, the strength of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This confirms that we are together in the current difficult situation - in this tragedy that is happening now in Ukraine due to Russian aggression," President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Błaszczak, the President's Office informs.
The President expressed his belief that in the future, already in peacetime, relations between Ukraine and Poland will develop and the countries will become even closer.
The Head of State is also confident in the strengthening of defense cooperation between the two states.
Moreover, Volodymyr Zelensky on behalf of the Ukrainian people and personally thanked Poland for supporting the citizens of Ukraine who found refuge from the full-scale Russian war in the territory of the neighboring country.
For his part, Mariusz Błaszczak thanked Volodymyr Zelensky and the entire Ukrainian people for their resilience in confronting the aggressor.
"Thank you, Mr. President, for your position, because the freedom and independence of Ukraine is the freedom and independence of Poland. Thank you for protecting us," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
As reported, the President of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on legal and social guarantees for Polish citizens in Ukraine and awarded Przemyśl the Rescuer City honorary title.
