Zelensky signs decree on Venediktova's dismissal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree dismissing Iryna Venediktova as Ukraine's prosecutor general.
The decree, No. 518/2022, has been published on the website of the head of state.
Zelensky on July 17 suspended Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova and Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov.
On July 19, the Verkhovna Rada voted to terminate Venediktova's powers as prosecutor general and dismiss Bakanov from the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine.
