Olena Zelenska discusses Russia’s war crimes with speaker of US House of Representatives
The wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, discussed Russia's crimes against Ukrainian civilians with Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
The First Lady said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
“Our conversation was about other crimes of Russia. About the children it killed. About the lives of Ukrainian civilians taken away. About people who lost their homes. I am sincerely grateful to the Americans for being with us in the darkest times. Because it brings us closer to our common dawn," Zelenska said.
She recalled the words of Nancy Pelosi, which she said back in the spring after visiting Ukraine: "If Russia is not listed as a state sponsor of terrorism, tear up the list."
According to the President's wife, the speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives became convinced of Russia’s war crimes and began testifying about them in the United States.
"I consider her one of the most powerful women in the world and I was very happy to see her today in the United States," Zelenska emphasized.
As reported earlier, Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska is on a visit to the United States.
