British MP calls for expulsion of Russian embassy after tweet about Azov fighters
Chris Bryant, a member of the British Parliament from the Labor Party, has said Russian diplomats should be expelled from the country after the Russian Embassy in the UK tweeted a call for the execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war.
He wrote this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"This should be illegal. This is calling for war crimes. It is time the UK sent the whole Russian Embassy packing back to Moscow. [UK Foreign Secretary] Liz Truss, what are you going to do?" Bryant wrote.
After the tragedy in Olenivka, Donetsk region, where Russian troops killed a part of Ukrainian prisoners of war, soldiers of the Azov Regiment who defended Mariupol, the Russian Embassy in the United Kingdom published a cynical statement calling for the execution of captured soldiers of the regiment by hanging.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, mercenaries from the Wagner private military company killed Ukrainian prisoners of war in the temporarily occupied town of Olenivka.
