Russian shelling and mining of Zaporizhzhia NPP have all signs of nuclear terrorism – PM Shmyhal

The mining of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and its shelling by Russian invaders have all the signs of nuclear terrorism.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated this at a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Prime Minister's Telegram channel.

“The whole world must unite now to prevent a catastrophe. We count on the support of partners to stop the aggressor as soon as possible,” Shmyhal stressed.

He added that Ukraine receives constant and powerful support from the United States. According to Shmyhal, further steps to strengthen the economic and military stability of the Ukrainian state were discussed at the meeting.

Shmyhal also informed American partners about Ukraine’s efforts to launch a new program with the International Monetary Fund. He emphasized the need to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor, designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism as soon as possible, and adopt appropriate legislation to seize the frozen assets of the Russian Federation and transfer them for the restoration of Ukraine.
