Zelensky calls on West to ban entry for all Russians

President Volodymyr Zelensky calls on the West to ban entry for all Russian citizens against the background of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

“Whichever kind of Russian … make them go to Russia. They’ll understand then. They’ll say, ‘This [war] has nothing to do with us. The whole population can’t be held responsible, can it?’ It can. The population picked this government and they’re not fighting it, not arguing with it, not shouting at it,” Zelensky told The Washington Post in an interview.

The President underscored that the most important sanctions against Russia were to close the borders — because the Russians were taking away someone else’s land.

He believes that Russians should live in their own world until they change their philosophy.

Zelensky also said he wanted Russia to know that regaining control of Kherson was just a first step in the process of de-occupation of the whole of Ukraine’s territory.

“Let them [Russians] know that as soon as we have enough forces and means, we’re going to de-occupy all of our territories,” he stressed.

As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu said at a joint briefing with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv that Estonia would submit a proposal to ban tourist visas for Russian citizens to the European Union countries in the coming week.
