Zelensky sacks chiefs of three SBU regional offices

President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the heads of the Security Service (SBU) offices – in Ternopil and Lviv regions, as well as the one for Kyiv and Kyiv region.

The dismissed head of the Lviv office was appointed to lead the security agency’s office based in the capital city of Kyiv.

The corresponding decrees have been published on the president’s website.

Thus, by Decree No. 575/2022 Artem Bondarenko was dismissed from the position of head of the SBU Office in Lviv region, and by Decree No. 578/2022 – appointed head of the SBU’s Main Office for Kyiv and Kyiv region.

By Decree No. 576/2022, the President dismissed Serhiy Zaiats from the post of chief of the Main Office of the SBU of Ukraine for Kyiv and Kyiv region, and by Decree No. 577/2022 – Yuriy Boreychuk was released from the post of head of the SBU Office in Ternopil region.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 19, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Ivan Bakanov from the post of head of the SBU.
