Stefanchuk: Issue of Crimea should be raised on global scale

Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk believes that the issue of Crimea should be raised on a global scale.

"The issue of Crimea should be raised on a global scale. I believe that it is necessary to involve parliamentary diplomacy, and that is why the first parliamentary summit of the Crimea Platform will be held in Croatia at the end of October," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook.

According to him, it is important for Ukraine that the biggest possible number of speakers and MPs take part in it. This will give an opportunity to raise the issue of Crimea and the territorial integrity of Ukraine at the parliamentary level.

"Our goal is to integrate into the international parliamentary community so that all parliaments of the world have the Crimea Platform support groups. And we will put forward this proposal to the participants during the summit," Stefanchuk emphasized.

This will make it possible to launch joint, parallel legislative initiatives in the form of laws and resolutions.

"It is important that the parliaments of the world join the fight for Crimea after the summit! For Crimea, all the occupied territories and Ukraine on the whole!" the Verkhovna Rada Chairman concluded.

As reported, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva noted that the level of representation of countries participating in the 2nd summit of the Crimea Platform increased significantly compared to the previous year.
