Government adopts visa-free agreement with Guatemala
On October 18, the Government adopted the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Guatemala on Mutual Visa Exemptions, signed in Kyiv on July 25.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informs, the agreement provides for the possibility of visa-free entry and stay of citizens of Ukraine and citizens of Guatemala in the state of the other party for a period of up to 90 days within 180 days.
The entry into force of the agreement and its implementation will make it possible to establish a visa-free travel regime for citizens of Ukraine and citizens of Guatemala on a mutual and permanent basis which will contribute to the development of trade and people-to-people contacts, as well as tourism as soon as the security situation allows.
The Ministry noted that the agreement’s entry into force would be announced after the Guatemalan side completed domestic procedures.
Currently, visa requirements do not apply to citizens of Ukraine who intend to make a short-term trip to the Republic of Guatemala for tourist, business or private purposes in accordance with the unilateral decision of the Republic of Guatemala.
The citizens of the Republic of Guatemala are issued visas to enter Ukraine at the Ukrainian foreign diplomatic missions and e-visas.
