President enacts NSDC decision on sanctions targeting over 2,500 people

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine "On application and amendments to personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)".

The corresponding decrees were published on the website of the Head of State.

Thus, Decree No. 727/2022 enacts the NSDC decision of October 19 "On application and amendments to personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)".

According to the relevant decision, personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) are imposed on individuals in accordance with the annex published on the website of the Head of State.

The restrictive measures are imposed on 256 people, including Roman Abramovich, Leonid Lebedev, and others.

Decree No. 726/2022 puts into effect the NSDC decision of October 19 "On application and amendments to personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)" which imposes sanctions on individuals and legal entities.

According to the published annex, sanctions are imposed on 2,251 individuals, including CEO of Channel One Russia Konstantin Ernst, Tina Kandelaki, Igor Putin, Alina Kabaeva and others.

In addition, the same decree imposes sanctions on 1,374 legal entities, including Joint-Stock Company Alfa-Bank, Limited Liability Company Sberbank Factoring, etc.

Decrees enter into force on the day of their publication.

As reported, at a meeting on September 30, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine adopted a decision to impose sanctions on significant individuals and legal entities of Russia who did not stand up for the protection of humanity and international law, or who are in some way involved in aggressive steps against Ukraine and the community of democratic peoples.
